Dear Orangutan

Yelping Orangutans
how happy they perform
benevolent players
cavorting
romping in their cage
closest creature to man
closest being to man’s god
eyes hiding an enigmatic universe
chattering in a different order
screeching for attention
slamming against the iron bars
unaware they must die to save us
from our liver spots depression our fungus
and our need to care.
