EMPOWERING TOOLS
These common sense empowering self-help tips are intended more as nudging reminders than wise guy revelations,
from which to pick and choose, setting your own priorities of what seems most useful and works best for you.
Try rising early, starting each new day by de-cluttering messy dreams, eliminating obsessive frustrations and
exercising silent meditative contemplation. Greet the glorious prospects of a beautiful dawning sunrise,
feeling fortunate to have woken up once again, excited about staying alive, enjoying pensive quietude
without distraction, taking time to imagine, envision, create, read, write and breathe.
Mundane daily routine can become more productively fulfilling and less stressfully anxious if
develop a resilient flexible mindset and rely on a positive thinking attitude outlook, calmly
taking control of erratic emotional moods and gut reactions. Self-control is a matter of choice.
Savor the little things that bring big pleasure. Focus on:
- optimism not pessimism;
- will do not can’t possibly;
- joys not worries;
- benefits not difficulties;
- solutions not problems;
- opportunities not obstacles;
- order not chaos;
- smiles not frowns;
- happy laughter not depressing frowns;
- energizing positives not enervating negatives.
Be grateful for wellness. Accept what you have. Know who you really are, then do what you need to do to
get what you want done. Practice tolerant patience, compassionate kindness and empathetic sensitivity.
Realize that everything happens for a reason to make you a better loving humanistic and to bring out
the best in your meaningfully significant others. Instead of dwelling in the past or fantasizing about
the future, live in the resiliently flexible here-and-now. Be actively present, not passively absent-minded,
never wasting precious never too late moments.
