Honeysuckle Day

Today
honeysuckle day
a sun of merry bicycle bells
opulent sky
timid clouds
because this is the way
it truly is
because tonight you will come
to take me in your arms
and kiss me
and caress me
and murmur lovewords to me for hours
like little watch springs
like bees set in amber
transform these ordinary everyday things
always around us
into the infinite spirals of seashells
with the mere wonder
of being together.
