marveling the mist

atop a mountain, timeless and sublime
the minutes ride into a sea of greys
that glide across this morning as a breeze
the moisture clings so gently to our skin

we sit upon a rock and gaze below
we're lost in magic, marveling the mist
a rain before it has a chance to form
our hands stretch out to hold a piece of sky
